Licence terms

Effective 24 October 2026. The terms under which PBIStack visuals for Power BI are provided and licensed.

1. The software

PBIStack visuals are custom visuals for Microsoft Power BI, published by PBIStack (Venkat Shyam S Gurla, Dubai, United Arab Emirates) through Microsoft’s marketplace. Installing a visual from the marketplace is also subject to Microsoft’s terms for that marketplace.

2. Use without a licence

You may install and use any PBIStack visual, with all its features, without buying a licence, for any purpose and for as long as you like. A visual used this way displays an “unlicensed” watermark on the chart. Radar & Polar Pro is provided free without a watermark.

3. The author licence

• ●Scope. One author licence covers one named person who builds or edits reports with the licensed visual. It removes the watermark for that person and for everyone who reads the reports that person builds. People who only read reports need no licence.
• ●Term. A licence is a monthly or yearly subscription from the date of purchase, renewing until cancelled, unless the order says otherwise.
• ●The key. The licence is delivered as a key tied to your name or company. Keep it for your own use; do not publish it or pass it on. A key may be moved to a successor in the same role.
• ●Company licences are agreed in writing and cover the people, visuals and period named in that agreement.

4. Payment

Purchases are made through our payment partner, which acts as the merchant of record: it sells you the licence on our behalf, charges you, issues the invoice and applies the taxes due for your country. Its terms apply to the payment. A licence key is delivered immediately and a purchase is final; see the refund policy.

5. What you may not do

You may not remove or defeat the watermark or the licence check other than with a valid key, extract or modify the visual’s code, or redistribute the visual outside Microsoft’s marketplace. Reports containing the visual may be shared freely.

6. Data

The visuals run inside your Power BI session. They send no data to PBIStack or anyone else, carry no telemetry and check licence keys offline. See the privacy policy.

7. Support and updates

Updates are published through Microsoft’s marketplace and reach you automatically. Support is by the support page and contact form; we answer within two business days. We may add features to the free, watermarked use at any time; features that are free in a published version stay free.

8. Warranty and liability

The visuals are provided as they are. We take care that they are correct and say on screen when they are not sure, but we do not warrant that they are free of errors or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the licence concerned in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Ending the licence

You may cancel at any time; the licence runs to the end of the paid period. We may end a licence if a key is published or shared beyond its scope, after telling you and giving you a chance to put it right. Section 2 continues to apply after a licence ends.

10. Changes and law

If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new effective date; the terms in force when you bought apply to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
